Before Opale, There was Olympe.

At the death of Francoise Viard, director of the Olympe agency, John Foley and Marie Gasser decided to take up the torch creating the Opale agency. Its mission : to gather the writers portraits made by several photographers for press releases or just simple relationship with the authors. At its beginnings in 1995, the agency had 5 photographers in its crew and was working in a small flat of 40mē. Nowadays, still living in the the heart of Paris in Le Marais, the agency represents 400 photographers and has in stock more than 300 000 pictures of authors, politicians, poets, philosophers, cooks, etc.
